Inside Bam Adebayo’s All-Star Journey with His Mom, and Their Impact Off the Court
From growing up in Newark and a trailer in North Carolina to becoming a first-time NBA All-Star with the Miami Heat, Bam Adebayo has shared his journey with his mother, Marilyn. After Bam was drafted by the Heat in 2017, he and his mom started a foundation together to support other single parents. Nowadays, they share their "RAK" philosophy (Random Acts of Kindness) by hosting community events throughout Miami with Bam’s trainer, Kevin Graves.
This past holiday season, we spent a day with Bam to capture his annual Thanksgiving drive while telling the story of how he and Marilyn developed a special bond over the years, with Kevin's support. For our "Family Matters" series.
