NBA Runway, Week 19: Colors Galore After the All-Star Break
NBA players returned from the All-Star break in colorful form. The shortened week still offered ample opportunity to show off bright texts, patterns and artful arrangements. From coats to hoodies, here are the five best looks from Week 19 of the season, starting with No. 5.
5) Jeff Green, Washington Wizards
Outfit: Forest Green
Jeff Green walked into the Spectrum Center fitted in a cool streetwear look on February 22 before the Wizards faced the Charlotte Hornets. Styled by Brandon Williams, Jeff wore a colorful plaid Kith hoodie over black rag & bone jeans. Matching the forest green tones of his jacket, Jeff sported a pair of green and yellow Nike Dunks.
4) Draymond Green, Golden State Warriors
Outfit: High School Dray
Draymond Green strutted into Oracle Arena in a bright varsity letterman jacket on February 23 before the Warriors faced the Houston Rockets. Styled by Vick Michel, Dray’s letterman jacket, featuring funky colors and letters, was designed by D.C.-based streetwear brand The Museum. Under the jacket, the Flint, Michigan native wore a black turtleneck and black jeans by Amiri. To keep with the colorful theme, Dray completed the look with Air Jordan 3 Tinker Oregon Ducks PE sneakers.
3) P.J. Tucker, Houston Rockets
Outfit: Tagged Up Tucker
P.J. Tucker pulled up to Staples Center on February 21 in a colorful coat before the Rockets' game against the Los Angeles Lakers after the All-Star break. Despite Houston’s loss, P.J. won the runway in a Balenciaga jacket accented with graffiti-like art and tagging. He wore a simple black tee and jeans under the statement piece, along with a pair of Air Jordan Retro Doernbecher sneaks.
2) Russell Westbrook, Oklahoma City Thunder
Outfit: Graffiti Brodie
Russell Westbrook walked into Chesapeake Energy Arena in a funky 'fit before the Thunder’s 148-147 double-overtime win against the Utah Jazz on February 22. Brodie wore a Doublet shirt that featured colorful graffiti and artwork. He layered the trendy top over a pair of brown slacks and zebra-striped Converse sneakers.
1) Jimmy Butler, Philadelphia 76ers
Outfit: Seeing Red
Jimmy Butler returned from the All-Star break with a warm look for the 76ers' 106-102 win over the Miami Heat on February 21. Styled by Khalilah Beavers, the Houston native wore a red-accented Stella McCartney Intarsia coat with a grey hoodie underneath. Jimmy paired the look with a light wash denim and the Air Jordan 1 Coutures.
