NBA Runway, Week 21: Combining Cozy Streetwear Swag with Distressed Designer Denim
NBA players are always experimenting with fashion, especially when it comes to finding the right amount of designer drip to mesh into their streetwear looks. The first full week of March brought everything from distressed Amiri denim to cozy Balenciaga pieces to the fore. Here are the top five best dressed from Week 21 of the season, starting with No. 5.
5) Jayson Tatum, Boston Celtics
Outfit: Flossy Flannel
Jayson Tatum showed up to Staples Center in coordinated colors on March 9 before he and the Celtics took down the Los Angeles Lakers, 120-107. Styled by Vick Michel, Jayson wore a hot pink Saint Laurent tee over a rainbow ombre flannel by Amiri. His light-wash denim, also by Amiri, featured the designer’s signature distressed ripped look. For his sneakers, the St. Louis native went designer and rocked a pair of pink accented Dior B22s.
4) Kyrie Irving, Boston Celtics
Outfit: Kozy Kyrie
Kyrie Irving pulled up to Oracle Arena in a cozy fit on March 5 before helping the Celtics dominate the Golden State Warriors, 128-95. The Australian-born point guard kept it simple with a long-sleeved tee by LA streetwear brand Rokit over a pair of camo Nike SB Icon jogger pants. He complemented the look with a Nike cap and a pair of Off-White x Nike Air Max 90s.
3) LeBron James, Los Angeles Lakers

LeBron James arrived at Staples Center turning heads in a hectic fit on Saturday night before taking an L from the Celtics. Bron supported his friend 2 Chainz by proudly sporting a patched up bomber jacket from the Atlanta-based rapper’s Rap or Go to the League merch line. The Akron, Ohio native wore the bomber over a pair of his favorite acid-washed black jeans by Gucci. He finished off the look with red accents that included a Hender Scheme strapback and the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 "Cactus Jack" sneakers.
2) Russell Westbrook, Oklahoma City Thunder

Russell Westbrook rolled into Staples Center sporting a fashionably casual 'fit on March 8 before dropping 32 points on the Clippers. Brodie rocked a Balenciaga crewneck sweatshirt over a pair of graffiti distressed denim jeans. The LA native also repped his city by wearing a Dodgers cap and Brain Dead x Converse Chuck Taylor All Star '70s.

Outfit: Parkaway Posh
Tim Hardaway Jr. bundled up for his trek into Barclays Center on March 4 fitted in Jerry Lorenzo’s Fear of God. The Mavs wing wore a beige canvas parka over a zip-up pullover, both by Fear of God. He complemented the fit with black jeans and a pair of the Nike Air Fear of God kicks.
