The people on the frontline of the coronavirus pandemic are healthcare professionals, everyday citizens risking their lives to save those of their patients. They are the heroes right now.

In CloseUp360's “Hoopers Meet Heroes” series, which connects NBA and WNBA players with healthcare professionals on the frontline of the fight against the coronavirus in their respective cities, Los Angeles Sparks and ESPN star Chiney Ogwumike chatted with fellow Cardinal Dr. Arghavan Salles, who completed medical school at Stanford University, and is now a minimally invasive and bariatric surgeon. They discussed Dr. Salles' work treating COVID-19 patients in Los Angeles and New York City, two hot zones of the pandemic; how she's helped her medical peers through her at-home yoga sessions; and how she's turned to the Chicago Bulls "The Last Dance" docuseries for an escape from the tough days she's endured on the frontline.
